Appearance: It features a distinctive phallic shape — thick, swollen stems and a rounded, bulbous cap that often stays partially closed or has a nipple-like protrusion. This morphology gives the strain its provocative name. Variants include Albino Penis Envy (APE), Penis Envy #5 or #7, and others with slight differences in color (white to golden-brown) and form.

Potency: It is widely regarded as one of the strongest P. cubensis strains, often 1.5–2+ times more potent than average varieties like Golden Teacher or B+. Psilocybin/psilocin levels can be significantly higher, leading to intense effects even at lower doses.

Effects: Users report strong visual hallucinations, euphoria, altered thinking, time distortion, and profound introspective or spiritual experiences (“trips”). Effects typically begin 20–60 minutes after ingestion and last 4–6 hours, varying by dose, individual tolerance, set, and setting.

Origin and History

The strain traces back to the 1970s–1980s. Legend links it to a mutated P. cubensis specimen found in the Amazon (possibly associated with Terence McKenna), later developed and stabilized by mycologists like Steven Pollock and Richard Gee through selective breeding for its unique shape and potency. It has since become a favorite in underground cultivation communities, spawning many sub-variants.
